God Weather & Wrath
Does
God’s wrath send droughts, killer earthquakes,
hurricanes
and tsunamis? Today it will be stormy,
for
the sky is red and overcast. You know
how to
interpret
the appearances of the sky, but you cannot
interpret
THE SIGNS
OF THE TIMES. Matthew 16:3
First Word
The earth is cursed from
creation, so earthquakes and other natural disasters simply happen
according to the Laws of Nature; God is just a bystander and He simply allows
calamity because of a higher purpose, He will bring good out of it; in the end
we all will win. Think
about that statement; is God helpless because of a fallen world?
Does He deal with natural disasters the
best that He can? Is the God that created the whole universe not all-powerful
enough to stop the winds and calm the waters? Did God create the world; wind it
up with the Laws of Nature and then just let it go? When Satan corrupted this world, did he not
became the god of this world?
Who is responsible for droughts, killer hurricanes, catastrophic
earthquakes, floods, and devastating tsunamis’? What is the Role that God and Satan play in
this cosmic drama? The Good Book says SATAN comes to KILL,
STEAL and DESTROY and was a MURDER and a LIAR from the beginning and the truth is not
found in him. He is the god of this world, he is the Prince of the Power of the Air.
If it moves through the air, he controls
it, however, Satan is limited because of the four angels of the Lord who
restrain the four winds.[1]
The Good
Book says JESUS
came to give LIFE and to give it more abundantly and that
He is the Way, the Truth and the Life and our God is a GOOD
God. This study is to take a WIDER look at both the character of Satan and
that of God. If we say that everything that
involves destruction and loss of life comes from Satan,
then what you have always been told is about to be shaken up.[2]
We all have “BS”,
a Belief System that guides the way we think, sometimes it
causes us to reject what is clearly written in the scriptures. I have changed my “BS” several times.
Cosmic
Conflict - JOB
Let’s look at the conflict
between Satan and God concerning Job. Satan accused Job’s love of God was because of
all the Good things that God had done for Him. Satan implies that God is playing favorites. This
accusation sets up the test for Job and his Faith. Satan has been given permission to do to Job
as he sees fit, but limits him; to not take his life. Satan sends robbers
that steal Job’s oxen and donkeys, then lighting that kills his sheep as well as some of
his servants then more robbers who
steal his Camels and kills more of his servants, then a tornado that
kills all his children and wipes out everything else that he has, then Satan
sticks in his knife blade and twists it by afflicting him with a disease of boils and sores.[3]
Note: It was Satan that sent the troubles, but it was only with
God’s permission and it came with limitations. This sets up the THEOLOGY of “God’s Sovereignty” and “God’s permissive Will”. Looking at ONLY this story, we would conclude that Satan
is behind ALL of the natural disasters of this world
and ALL of the meanness, troubles and diseases; and it is allowed by God in His ”Permissive Will” according to
His sovereign purpose.
SO HERE IS WHERE WE ARE;
Nothing happens outside of the permissive will of God, because He is
sovereign.
Who
is in charge of Nature?
God controls the mist,
the rain, the wind and sustains the universe. He has power over the clouds, lighting and
over ALL of nature. The winds and the
seas obey Him. At creation He hung the
earth on nothing. Natural Disasters do
not seem evil in themselves if that happen in the middle of the ocean or
somewhere in the desert where no one is injured. When you say “WHO’S THE BLAME”, it denotes wrong doing, it implies
accountability, but God is not
accountable to anyone. The Potter is not accountable to the vessel;
He makes out of the clay whatever He chooses. We as a finite being cannot judge an infinite
God.[4]
God allows, ordains and permits Satan,
Demons and mankind to exercise their LIMITED Free Will to do
the greatest good, as well as their greatest wickedness. The results are used according to His
purpose, His
plan and His
will.
All things work together for Good for those that love the Lord.[5]
It’s in the Book
Israel – Wrath of God
Until
recently America has been Israel’s best friend, but beginning in the
1990’s America began to exert political pressure on Israel to surrender their
land to the Palestinian terrorist.
NOTE: The name Israel literally means “He will rule as
God”.[6]
October 30, 1991 President Bush signed the “Land for Peace” agreement that demanded Israel
turn over their land to the Palestine’s in exchange for peace. You may recall that the very next day on
October 31st a massive “Perfect Storm” hit Kennebunkport, Maine
and destroyed the home of President George H. Bush.
August 23, 1992 President Bush pushed forward and attempted to sell
his proposal of “Land for Peace” which
divided the land in Israel. You may
recall that the same day Hurricane Andrew
smashed into Florida with over 30 billion dollars of destruction.
January 16, 1994 President Bill Clinton pushes forward an agreement
that included Israel giving up their land in the “Golan
Heights” which would leave them defenseless. Within 24 hours a 6.9 earthquake hits Southern
California.
September 28, 1998 President Bill Clinton declares the “Independent Palestine State” with his “Land for Peace” deal. - That same day Hurricane George hits the Gulf coast causing a billion dollars in
damages.
In Early September 2001 violent terrorist sent rockets into Israel resulting
with many deaths and injuries. America
did nothing to help their friend Israel who was under the attack of terrorism,
and in fact turned their back on them and forbid and threatened Israel with financial bribery if they retaliated.
September 11, 2001 known as “911”
– Just days after the attack on Israel and America turning its back on them, TERRORISM struck the twin
towers in New York City.
There has
always been a HEDGE OF PROTECTION around America,
but days after we turned our back on Israel, God removed His protective hedge
and Terrorism
came to the soil of the United States. It’s in the Book
The Good Book says
God will bring ALL the nations
together for judgment who have DIVIDED up His Land. He will PURSUE them with His WINDS
and TERRIFY them with His HURRICANE.[7]
Is God sending America a WARNING or is all of
this JUST A COINCIDENCE?
Tsunami Indian Ocean
Jewish proverb; where the Law of God is not
taught, there Satan dwells. Pergamum
in Asia Minor was once known as the place where Satan dwells; “THE SEAT OF SATAN”.
December 25, 2004; the Christians in the
Muslim dominated town of “Meulaboh” wanted to celebrate Christmas, but the
local Muslims objected and suggested that they celebrate outside of the town’s
city limit; which they did.
December 26, 2004; a NINE magnitude earth quake hit the coast of North Sumatra, Indonesia which
caused several major Tsunamis which radiated in all directions. The waves hit
Sumatran, Thailand, Sri Lanka and India. When the Tsunami hit, the Christians were
still out of town on a hill celebrating Christmas and all were saved, whereas
most of the Muslims in the town died.
The town survivors of four different religions
as well as atheist who reported that
this was the powerful hand of God of which they were helpless in its wake. They themselves reported that this was divine
punishment for them not obeying the divine commands of their various religions;
however, for the Christians, THIS WAS
PROBABLY JUST A COINCIDENCE.
A story from Scripture;
and those eighteen in Jerusalem the other day, the ones crushed and
killed when the Tower of Siloam collapsed and fell on them, DO YOU THINK THEY WERE WORSE CITIZENS than all other Jerusalemites? NOT AT ALL; AND UNLESS YOU TURN TO GOD, YOU TOO WILL DIE." Were those in
North Sumatra Indonesia worst sinners than us in America?
I think NOT and if we do not turn to God we
too will die.[8]
Hurricane Katrina
During
a broadcast of The 700 Club on August 6, 1998, Pat.
Robertson commented on the Orlando, Florida, “Gay Pride Festival”, stating:
"I would warn Orlando that you're right in the way of some serious
hurricanes, and I don't think I'd be waving those flags in God's face if I were
you."
Hurricane Katrina that hit Florida was
called DEMONIC by some; as something sent by Satan
himself, but was it demonic or was it divine retribution from God?
For many years the citizens of New Orleans have tolerated and welcomed the wickedness of
homosexuality in the French Quarter during Mardi Gras. For 33
years it was touted as “One of the Gay World’s major
parties”. New Orleans is the VOODOO capital of the USA,
August 29, 2005 just
days before the depraved homosexual festival appropriately named “SOUTHERN DECADENCE” was scheduled, Hurricane
Katrina destroyed all of New Orleans. Their levees broke; thousands of victims were
trapped; gas prices escalated; there was murder, rape, perverse crimes with
uncontrollable looting, plus the ransacking of hospitals by the lawless seeking
drugs; then a complete collapse of the state’s infrastructure for disaster
relief.
A person must be held accountable for
their own actions and decisions when they refuse to get out of the way of an
unstoppable hurricane, especially when there is ample warning about the
magnitude of the storm; but many people thumbed their nose and simply chose to
ride out the storm and many of them died.
Was
this the hand of God that
did this disaster; is this the SIGNS OF
THE TIMES or was this JUST
A MERE COINCIDENCE?

Minnesota
August 19, 2009, 2:00 pm, the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America held a National Convention in the Minneapolis
Convention Center and also used the Central Lutheran Church across the street. Under consideration was; “Is it acceptable for a Lutheran to live an un-repented active
homosexual lifestyle?” The vote was also to affirm HOMOSEXUAL PASTORS. The rule passed by literally ONE VOTE
and the Lutheran denomination officially separated itself from Biblical
Christianity; this vote should never have come up in the first place.[10]
A tornado
hit the steeple of the church and
destroyed it just after the vote to affirm. Of course this was PROBABLY
JUST A MERE COINCIDENCE.
Earthquake Haiti
Haiti is one of the poorest
nations on the planet and is sinking even deeper into poverty. It
is the Witchcraft headquarters of the Western Hemisphere. The people of Haiti are widely affected with
African fetishism which embraces the Occult, Sorcery, Black Magic, Voodoo, Snake Worship and
Satan Worship.
January
12, 2010 about 5 pm a magnitude SEVEN
earthquake struck the city of Port Au Prince the capital of Haiti, with
unspeakable devastation; Seven is the number for completeness) there was at least 100 aftershocks recorded;
it took some 230,000 lives and injured some 300,000 people. (Orphanages, churches, markets, homes,
and government buildings all collapsed. It was one of the most devastating disasters
in history since 1900. God can use the
forces of the Nature just as He pleases. Jesus the Messiah once quieted a storm with
just three words; “Peace; be still.[11]
What makes us think that we are better than those folks over there, why
do we think we are morally superior to others? Everything about the tragedy in
Haiti points to our need for redemption. Hopefully this tragedy will lead to a new
openness to the Gospel among the Haitian people.
Did God judge Haiti for its spiritual
darkness or was this JUST A
COINCIDENCE?
Tornado
Oklahoma
Moore Oklahoma May 20, 2013;
Oklahoma Gay
Pride week 2013 openly promoted
and accepted homosexuality and all manners of perversions. It was to begin on the Lord’s Day, Sunday May
19th at 4pm, when Christians were specifically celebrating the “Day
of Pentecost” for 2013.
The name for a homosexual; “sodomite”, comes from the city of Sodom
and Gomorrah
which was completely and utterly destroyed by God including the women, the
children, the blind, the aged and yes even the heterosexuals.[12]
One day after the Gay Pride week began,
the World’s Worst tornado hit Moore Oklahoma. Jesus said that in the last days
it would be just like it was in the time of Lot in “Sodom”.
Of course THIS WAS
PROBABLY JUST A COINCIDENCE
Hurricane Matthew
Orlando Florida October 8, 2016 Orlando had
planned a massive “Coming Out” parade Saturday called “Orlando
Pride 2016”. “Savannah Georgia Pride”
was also scheduled for October 22, 2016 and then the unthinkable happened,
Hurricane Matthew was stirred up.
Hurricane
Matthew hit the day before when they
had two party’s scheduled. Could this
possibly be drawing down the wrath of God? Is this similar to what happened to Sodom and
Gomorrah when the wrath of God was unleashed on them? We really don’t know;
IT WAS PROBABLY JUST A COINCIDENCE. [13]
Will the people have second
thoughts with cancellations of these Gay Pride events?
I think not, there is an increasing
disrespect for even the most basic thoughts of Christian morality. Because of Sin, the wrath of God is
justified, but it is balanced with God’s “Open Season” on forgiveness and mercy
for those who seek it. It's time to
change your ways and turn to God so that He can wipe away your sins and pour
out showers of blessing to refresh you.[14]
It’s in
the Book
God’s Character
I don’t pretend that I
have the right to speak for God’s character, but I can read and repeat what He
has already said about Himself in the Book.
He says disaster comes because
the LORD has done it.
It is He that brings desolations and
creates calamity on the earth. He is a jealous,
avenging and wrathful
God.
His anger causes earthquakes that shake the heavens, earth and
sea. He sends hail, lighting, and fire that scorches the earth. He sends sickness, anguish and devastation;
He withholds the rain and sends the drought; clouds,
darkness and gloom and He
stirs up the spirit of your enemy to
come against you.
You ask; why would the LORD do this to the land and to his people? He answers; because they abandoned Me, therefore I have brought
all of this disaster on them.[15]

Chronicles 7:21-22 - Disaster came because they abandoned God
21 … They will ask, ‘WHY DID THE LORD
DO SUCH TERRIBLE THINGS to this land and
to this Temple?’ “And the answer will be
22 ‘BECAUSE
HIS PEOPLE ABANDONED THE LORD, the God of their ancestors, who brought
them out of Egypt, and they worshiped other gods instead and bowed down to
them. THAT IS WHY
HE
HAS BROUGHT ALL THESE DISASTERS ON THEM.”
Who Dun It?
Too
often we as Christians are afraid to acknowledge the hand of God on
disasters because we feel it will diminish His reputation of goodness and
mercy.
Who was it that sent the rain in
the time of Noah?
Who was it that sent the plagues on Egypt?
Who was it that sent the storm to Jonah’s ship?
Who was it that sent the earthquake that opened the earth that swallowed the sons of Korah, their
wives, children, livestock and all their goods? [16]
IT WAS THE
SOVEREIGN ALL-POWERFUL LORD GOD ALMIGHTY.
The
Take Away
America leads the world
in filth, nudity, porn, homosexuality, sex slave trade, pedophilia and
abortions, yet somehow we think that we are better than those in other
countries. God sends the weather either
to punish the people or to bless them with His unfailing love.
If Satan could have an impact on weather, it would only be with God’s
permission. Only once in scripture is
Satan given the credit for a destructive wind and with that He had to get
permission from God and it came with limits.
God has ordained whatever comes to pass, so
His invisible hand is in our pain. He
causes it to rain on the just and unjust alike, the evil and the good. Tragedies give the believer the opportunity to
serve, feed and share the Word. God’s
mercy presupposes His Wrath; “LET’S
REASON TOGETHER”; if God
is merciful, He must also be wrathful otherwise there is no reason for Him to
be merciful.[17]
It was the work of Jesus on the
Cross that appeased the WRATH OF GOD. Natural
disasters are a megaphone for God that shows us the uncertainty of life. At the second coming of Jesus Christ, there
will be many natural disasters that will accompany His return. Our Time is short and eternity is long. Natural disasters do not increase the death
rate because we are all going to die someday anyway. It’s the condition of a man’s heart when he
dies that causes the anguish. Life is
Choice Driven; the choices we make on this side of life have eternal
consequences.

If a man must perish, let him be required to push past our
bodies
as we extend the message of Jesus Christ. If they must die,
let it be with our arms about them on our knees praying for
them.
Let no one go to hell unwanted or un-prayed for.
