Chapter 16.21

FOURTH VISION

Of Christ and Eternity

The New Heaven and the New Earth – Eternity is Unveiled.

 

 

New Heaven & Earth – It’s out of this World.

 

Revelation 21:1 - Then I saw a NEW HEAVEN and a NEW EARTH,

for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away,

and there was NO LONGER ANY SEA.

 

     The Greek word for “new” means “new in character” as in RENOVATED, (but not destroyed).  My BS does not embrace this although many students of the Word do.

     The Bible says we get a New Earth free of sin and corruption.[1] The earth is not renovated.  We are not told any details about the new earth except that there will not be any sea.  This is probably because of the pure river of life that flows from the throne of God throughout the whole world.[2]

     You cannot put new wine into an old wineskin… It cannot contain it, the skin would burst[3]… The wineskin of earth must be purged and a new wineskin of purity must be created to hold this new creation for eternity. (We get a new earth... It’s in the Book)

 

New Jerusalem

 

Revelation 21:2 - I saw the Holy City, THE NEW JERUSALEM,

coming down out of heaven from God,

prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband.

³ And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying,

"Now THE DWELLING OF GOD IS WITH MEN,

and he will live with them.

They will be his people, and God himself will be with them

and be their God.

 

     The Bride is the CHURCH and the Husband is CHRIST.  God now lives and walks among His people, just like He did with Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden.

     This Holy City was already in existence, built by God,[4] probably housing the resurrected saints in the heavens before the creation of the new earth.  Think about this now, in my BS the saints were certainly living somewhere.  Just saying.

No Tears or Pain

 

Revelation 21:4 - HE WILL WIPE EVERY TEAR from their eyes.

There will be NO MORE DEATH OR MOURNING OR CRYING OR PAIN, for the old order of things has passed away."

 

     This NEW EARTH and Holy City will operate under new laws of nature, there will no longer be any sin, temptation or testing, we will all have GLORIFIED bodies just like Jesus and we will not experience pain; there will be no tears or sorrow or mourning; the term “wiping away of tears” is symbolic of the old things having passed away.

     We will have the mind of Christ[5] that can retain knowledge and wisdom as well as be able to transport ourselves anywhere we desire at the speed of thought just like Phillip the Deacon did[6] as and as Jesus did also.[7]   See IITB Book 8.4 Fourth Dimension

 

Beloved, now are we children of God,

and it is not yet made manifest what we shall be.

We know that, if he shall be manifested,

WE SHALL BE LIKE HIM;

FOR WE SHALL SEE HIM EVEN AS HE IS.

1 John 3:2 (ASV)

 

     We will also have no more sea, and since the sea takes up ¾ of the world’s surface, you can certainly see how people will have much more space, plus there will be no water barrier to hinder the expansion of their borders.[8]  There is a down side however, many people will lose their jobs; jailors, policemen, doctors, funeral directors, and pharmacies just to name a few.

     Interestingly, after this, Jesus hands the throne[9] over to God[10] and then God gives it back to Him.

Starting Over

 

Revelation 21:5-7 - He who was seated on the throne said,

"I am making everything new!" Then he said,

"Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true."

⁶ He said to me: "IT IS DONE. I am the Alpha and the Omega,

the Beginning and the End. To him who is thirsty I will give to drink without cost from THE SPRING OF THE WATER OF LIFE.

⁷ He who overcomes will inherit all this, and

I will be his God and he will be my son.

 

     God is now on the throne and everything is starting over with the true faithful angels, the redeemed saints, and His sons from ALL ages.  His promises are now completely fulfilled.

 

His government and its peace will never end. He will rule with fairness and justice from the throne of his ancestor David for all eternity. The passionate commitment of the LORD of Heaven’s Armies will make this happen!

Isaiah 9:7 -

The Wicked’s Fate – The Second Death

 

Revelation 21:8 - But the cowardly, the unbelieving,

the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral,

those who practice magic arts,

the idolaters and all liars-

their place will be in the fiery lake of burning sulfur.

THIS IS THE SECOND DEATH."

 

     Note:  Although BELIEVERS are getting a new heaven and a new earth, the lake of fire for the LOST did not change. COWARDS are at the head of the list who will go into the lake of fire. This is those who were afraid to take a stand for Christ and just went along with the crowd, they just followed the herd.  Satan knows that if he can just guide the herd, the crowd will follow.

     As a teenager, I certainly did not want to experience the Lake of Fire and burn for eternity, however when I became a man, I discovered something worse than that, it was to be SEPARATED FROM GOD for eternity with no hope and no exit from the torment.  (THIS IS THE SECOND DEATH)

     Did you see it?  You might ask why God would be so severe on a sin that might have only lasted for seconds and then you be punished for eternity.  God is serious about the smallest of sins, when Uzzah put forth his hand to steady the shaking ark, God killed him there for his error;[11] only the High priest touched the Ark.

    Note: All sin, the desire for sin, thoughts of sin and possibility of sin, has now been removed and all who enter the Holy City are now worthy.

 

The Holy City

 

Revelation 21:9-11 - One of the seven angels who had the seven bowls full of the seven last plagues came and said to me,

"Come, I will show you the bride, the wife of the Lamb."

¹⁰ And he carried me away in the Spirit to a mountain great and high,

and showed me the HOLY CITY, JERUSALEM,

COMING DOWN OUT OF HEAVEN FROM GOD.

¹¹ It shone with the GLORY OF GOD, and its BRILLIANCE was like

that of a very precious jewel, like a jasper, clear as crystal.

 

 

     John now REFLECTS BACK on The New Jerusalem which is The Holy City and describes in detail the construction and brilliance of the SHEKINAH GLORY[12] of God shining[13] through the crystal like walls. [14]   Light in the Greek is “phoster” which means “SOURCE OF LIGHT”. 

     Some students of the Word BS SPIRITUALIZE the Holy City and believe that spiritually it REMAINS IN HEAVEN, while other students BS believe that the Holy City while physical, does not actually come down to earth, but REMAINS IN MIDAIR as another planet or like a satellite.  

     Others BS embrace that the EARTH will become a satellite in space orbiting around the Holy City, because it is the center of all activities and it is like our sun now. 

     Others BS see it as a TRIANGLE much like the Pyramid of Giza which contains in mathematics the Gospel message.  Scripture gives us the dimensions for the city, but not the shape. The Pyramid was pure WHITE reflecting the sun to the horizons and seen for miles. Some believe the Shepard Kings built it while other believe it was built by the hand of God.  I encourage you to read Great Pyramid Proof of God by George R. Riffert, first written in 1932.         

      Others BS see the New Jerusalem as a CUBE in space while others see it as a cube within a round CRYSTAL SPHERE reflecting light; scripture does not specifically say it comes down to earth.

     My BS wants to believe that this New Jerusalem, the Holy City will contain the SHEKINAH GLORY of God, The Jehovah Power and Light Company as the source of pure white light shining and reflected through the crystal prisms into every imaginable COLOR, lighting up the entire universe with each one of our bodies absorbing some of it.[15]

     This would support the theory that the earth becomes a Satellite that orbits around the sphere of the Holy City.   The Good Book says the nations, the twelve tribes will travel there once a year entering through the appropriate one of the twelve Gates to worship, and then to return.  So they are going to travel there by means unknown to us today; maybe at the Speed of thought... Man, I can’t wait.   See the Word Study IITB Book 8.04 Fourth Dimension.

     NOTE:  Only the Bride of Christ that was raptured, will actually live in the New Jerusalem City.  We will have a suite constructed specifically for each one of us.  I go and prepare a place for you [16]  All the other redeemed will live on earth and make regular visits to bring praise, glory and honor to God.

 

Gates, Foundations

 

Revelation 21:12-15 - It had a great, high wall with TWELVE GATES and with twelve angels at the gates. On the gates were written the names of the TWELVE TRIBES OF ISRAEL.

¹³ There were three gates on the east, three on the north, three on the south and three on the west.

¹⁴ The WALL of the city had TWELVE FOUNDATIONS, and on them were the names of the TWELVE APOSTLES OF THE LAMB.

¹⁵ The angel who talked with me had a measuring rod of gold to measure the city, its gates and its walls.

 

     Twelve is a very prominent number here.  The names are in the same order as they were when they encamped about and FACING the tabernacle in the wilderness.  It is the number of complete religious government. Each gate is guarded by its own angel.  Why, I don’t know as the gates are never shut and only the righteous enter.  The sight of the angels must just be overwhelming and stand as a testimony to the awesomeness of God.  I bet these angel dudes are 9 foot tall – Just saying

     Bringing together the Old Testament with the New Testament are the twelve gates with the twelve tribes of Israel and the twelve foundations with the twelve apostles. (I just love it)

     Did you see it?  The FOUNDATION of our Belief System of the Church was built on the solid foundation of the twelve apostles through Jesus Christ the chief corner stone.

 

Ezekiel 48:31-34 - THE GATES OF THE CITY WILL BE NAMED AFTER THE TRIBES OF ISRAEL. The three gates on the north side will be the gate of Reuben, the gate of Judah and the gate of Levi.

³² "On the east side, which is 4,500 cubits long, will be three gates: the gate of Joseph, the gate of Benjamin and the gate of Dan.

³³ "On the south side, which measures 4,500 cubits, will be three gates: the gate of Simeon, the gate of Issachar and the gate of Zebulun.

³⁴ "On the west side, which is 4,500 cubits long, will be three gates: the gate of Gad, the gate of Asher and the gate of Naphtali. NIV

 

     NOTE; I feel a need to point out that some students of the word BS reject MATTHIAS as the12th and replacement disciple for Judas.  Stating that they believe that after the coming of the Holy Spirit that PAUL took that position as Mathias was never heard of again.  I find no scripture for this.

The City is Measured

 

Revelation 21:16 - The city was laid out like a square, as long as it was wide. He measured the city with the rod and found it to be

12,000 stadia in length, and as wide and high as it is long.

 

     This is an entire city where the base is a four square, 1,500 miles wide, 1,500 miles deep and 1,500 miles high.  (It will be about 500 miles bigger than our moon.)  We are not told the shape; what if the shape was like a pyramid, like a polished crystal with the river of life flowing down from the top on all four sides.  Sure is something to think about, especially if you have read the book, “The Great Pyramid Proof of God” and the symbolism of Christ in it.  If you look close, the number 12 is still prominent in verse 16 & 17.

 

The Wall

 

Revelation 21:17-18 – HE MEASURED ITS WALL

AND IT WAS 144 CUBITS THICK, by man's measurement,

which the angel was using. ¹⁸ The WALL was made of JASPER,

and the city of pure gold, as pure as GLASS.

 

     This Wall is 144 cubits or 240 feet high, or about 24 stories tall.  Tall Wall Y’all

The total area of the city would be 2,250,000 square miles.  An approximate area running from the Appalachian Mountains to the Rocky Mountains then from the Gulf of Mexico to the Canadian border.

    My BS does not see the wall not so much as PROTECTION, but more of a STATEMENT of the safety and Peace that resides inside.  It is made of Transparent Jasper that lets the light flood through, it is one of the hardest of gems.  I can’t help but note, that all of the construction material is transparent allowing the SHEKINAH GLORY of God to shine through it.

 

12 Foundation Layers

 

Revelation 21:19-20 - The foundations of the city walls were decorated with every kind of precious stone. The FIRST foundation was jasper (blue), the SECOND sapphire (shade of blue), the THIRD chalcedony (sky blue), the FOURTH emerald (bright green),

²⁰ the FIFTH sardonyx (red & white), the SIXTH carnelian (reddish) , the SEVENTH chrysolite (golden), the EIGHTH beryl (sea green), the NINTH topaz (yellow green), the TENTH chrysoprase (shade of green), the ELEVENTH jacinth (violet), and the TWELFTH amethyst (purple). 

 

     In my BS the city seems to be transparent with the SHEKINAH GLORY of God radiating out through the walls and intensifying the colors in the foundation.  It gives new meaning to a crystal ball. What an awesome sight. (I added the names of the colors in the text.)

 

12 Gates

 

Revelation 21:21 - THE TWELVE GATES WERE TWELVE PEARLS, each gate made of a single pearl. The great STREET of the city was of pure gold, like TRANSPARENT glass.

  

      As I crawl into the scriptures, my BS wants to see that there is just ONE STREET of transparent Gold that goes directly through the center of the Holy City, but from which gate does it originate?    

     What if the ONE Street of Gold just encircles the entire city on the outside of the sphere touching all twelve of the transparent pearl gates?  What if this transparent street covers the entire sphere on the outside thereby giving total access?  Crawl into the story with me and give me your BS.  Note:  we live on the outside of our world now, but then we will live on the inside.  Good Grief, just ponder that!

     I think it is interesting that each gate is made out of just ONE GIANT PEARL, Jesus said that the Kingdom of Heaven is like a merchant seeking beautiful pearls, who, when he had found ONE PEARL OF GREAT PRICE, he went and sold all that he had and bought it.[17]  Heaven is worth everything.

     Did you see it?  We have nothing to sell to be able to buy the Pearl of Great Value.  Jesus was the one who gave up everything and PAID THE PRICE for the pearl of great value so we could have a way back to the TREE OF LIFE in heaven; WE ARE HIS PEARL.

 

No Temple.

 

Revelation 21:22 - I DID NOT SEE A TEMPLE IN THE CITY,

because the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are its temple.

 

     There is no need for a temple, because the temple is the presence of God and His Son; those that live in His city are a HOLY NATION, A KINGDOM OF PRIEST,[18] His Bride, the redeemed believers.

     Did you know that the Holy of Holies in the earthly temple is the same shape as she New Jerusalem?

 

No Sun, No Moon, No Night

 

Revelation 21:23-25 - The city does not need the sun or the moon

to shine on it, for THE GLORY OF GOD GIVES IT LIGHT,

AND THE LAMB IS ITS LAMP.

²⁴ The nations (Gentiles) will walk by its light,

and the kings of the earth will bring their splendor into it.

²⁵ On NO day will its gates ever be shut,

for there will be NO NIGHT there.

   

     The true light has come into the world, put your trust in the light of Jesus Christ while you still have it.[19]  The Light of the SHEKINAH GLORY is testimony of the presence of the one GOD of Abraham, Isaac & Jacob; Jesus is the light of the world.  He is the source of all light. [20]

 

Nothing Impure

 

Revelation 21:26-27 - The glory and honor of the nations will be brought into it.  Nothing impure will ever enter it,

nor will anyone who does what is shameful or deceitful, but

ONLY THOSE WHOSE NAMES ARE WRITTEN

IN THE LAMB'S BOOK OF LIFE.

 

     The gates are never shut to keep the wicked out, because there is a great gulf fixed between the wicked and the good,[21] only the true servants, the saints who are present throughout the earth will ever enter in and enjoy it.

     In my BS, I can just see the angels at the gates checking the PASSPORTS of all who want to enter, to be sure that their name is written in the Lamb’s Book of Life. 

     NOTE:  You must get your passport NOW to be able to enter into the city of the New Jerusalem.

     Did you see it?  The earth was first created for man to enjoy Fellowship with the God of this universe.  Man now has once again the FELLOWSHIP with God that was lost in the Garden of Eden.
