Chapter 16.15
The Seven Angels
The Seven Plagues
The
Final Judgments – God’s Wrath Completed - The Singing Saints
Chapter 15 is an
Informational Chapter and
while not reported in
chronological order,
it is in logical order.
Marvelous Sign – It is Finished
Revelation
15:1 - I saw in heaven
another
GREAT AND
MARVELOUS SIGN: SEVEN ANGELS
with the SEVEN LAST PLAGUES - last, because with them
GOD'S WRATH IS
COMPLETED.
The last half of the tribulations called the GREAT TRIBULATIONS is not so much
about Satan, the False Prophet
or the Anti-Christ
nor even about their minions which are still very active, BUT is about THE DAY OF GOD’S WRATH; it about judgment coming directly from the Throne of
God.
The great and marvelous SIGN is the saints
playing harps and singing THE SONG OF
MOSES and
THE SONG OF THE LAMB. This
is the prophetic
celebration in
advance of the coming to an end of the GREAT
TRIBULATIONS; it is
finished.
The SEVEN
ANGELS of wrath are pouring out the bowls of the last of the Wrath of God on the earth.
While we see this picture as repetitive, it is now being unpacked and
painted for us in fine detail.
When I was an communications instructor in
the Army, I told them a) what I was
broadly going to teach them, b) then I taught
it, c) then I told them what I taught them; adding in more fine detail.
This is what is going on in the informational
chapters; we are getting the fine detail.
The Victors
with harps
Revelation 15:2 - And I saw what looked like a SEA OF GLASS mixed with fire and, standing beside the sea, those who
had been victorious
over the beast
and his image and over the number of his name (666). They held harps given them by God
The sea of glass is a reflection
of God’s pure light,[1]
transparent with prismatic colors produced by His glory. The fire mingled in
is a reminder of God’s WRATH that is about
to be revealed. The Victors are those that did not take the mark
of the beast. They play harps and sing
two songs of praise.
God uses symbols to get us to unpack the depth of His teaching so we can
understand it better, the actuality of the symbolic is MUCH LARGER than the symbols seems, whether good
or bad.
Song of Moses – Song of the Lamb
Revelation 15:3-4 - and sang the SONG
OF MOSES the servant of God and the SONG OF THE LAMB:
"Great and marvelous are your deeds,
Lord God Almighty. Just and true are your
ways, KING OF THE AGES.
4 Who will not fear you, O Lord, and bring glory to your name?
For you alone are holy.
All nations
will come and worship before you, for your righteous acts have been revealed."
The
Song of Moses represents the Law and the Song of
The Lamb represents God’s grace.
It is VICTORY over Satan and all the enemies of God and man.[2] This is the union of Law and Grace.
The Song of Moses[3] is
about Israel’s faithfulness,
salvation and final deliverance from Egypt and is QUITE LENGTHY, and has its own symbolism, but here is some of
it for you to get the flavor; I encourage you to read it in its entirety in
your own Bible. Exodus 15:1-21 and
Deuteronomy 32:1-42
The
King of the Ages is speaking of Jesus
as being the object of universal worship and praise throughout the entire
earth.
All
the Nations of the earth are in
peace and are filled with people who know the Lord, nothing will be hurt or
destroyed on His holy mountain [4]

Exodus
15:1-18 –
SONG OF MOSES
1 Then Moses and the Israelites sang this song to the LORD: "I
will sing to the LORD, for he is highly exalted. THE
HORSE AND ITS RIDER HE HAS HURLED INTO THE SEA
17 You will bring
them in and plant them
on the mountain
of your inheritance—
the place, O
LORD, you made for your dwelling,
the sanctuary, O
Lord, your hands established.
18 The LORD will reign for ever and
ever."

Temple
is opened - Ark of the Covenant
Revelation 15:5 -After this I looked and in heaven the
temple, that is, the tabernacle of the Testimony,
was OPENED.
This
is the second time the Temple in heaven is OPENED for us to see inside. The Tabernacle of the Testimony is the Holy of Holies,[5]
where the ARK OF THE COVENANT was kept containing the Ten
Commandments. [6]
Did you see it? The Tabernacle containing
the Holy of
Holies and The Ark of the Covenant which contained the Ten Commandments that was observed in heaven are actually the ORIGINALS of those that were PATTERNED after and constructed on earth by Moses.[7]
The Israelites believed that by keeping the laws of Moses and the Ten Commandments they did not
need a Messiah to deliver them from their sins.[8] Jesus pointed out to fail in any point of the
Law; you have failed in them all.
Christ says that what happens inside of a man heart is what counts;[9]
good works should not be produced because of rules of man BUT
because
of a tender heart full of desire.[10]
There are over 300 separate prophecies in the Old Testament about the
coming Messiah.[11] Even though the Jewish Nation KNEW the Old
Testament prophecies
from the prophet
Isaiah about a Messiah,
they just did not believe that Jesus was the one that was to come.[12]
Where was
the Sign? WE WANT A SIGN.[13] Jesus would not give them a sign; HE WAS THE SIGN.
Priestly
Garments
Revelation 15:6 Out of the temple came the SEVEN ANGELS with the SEVEN
PLAGUES. They were
dressed in clean, shining linen and
wore golden
sashes around their chests.
The shining linens and
golden sashes are
reminders of the OT priest and are symbolic
of holiness and royalty; “Kings and Priest”, a royal priesthood.[14] (Fine
linen is symbolic for the righteous acts of the saints, His Bride.)[15]
Coming to the End
Revelation 15:7 - Then one of the four living creatures gave
to the
SEVEN
ANGELS SEVEN GOLDEN BOWLS
FILLED WITH THE WRATH of God, who lives
for ever and ever.
The
Seven Angels COMPLETE God’s judgments. The Seven Bowls or Vials are full bringing an end
to the WRATH being poured
out. In the Greek, “FILLED” is translated; finished - bringing to an end – expire – accomplish
- fulfilled.
Shekinah Glory Cloud – Smoke
Revelation
15:8 - And the temple
was filled with SMOKE from the GLORY OF
GOD and from his power,
and no one could
enter the temple until the SEVEN PLAGUES of
the SEVEN ANGELS were completed.
Interestingly,
Man now has access to the temple except during this special time, the KJV says no “man” could enter the temple to intercede for the nations. Smoke is more correctly translated Cloud
as when THE CLOUD OF THE SHEKINAH
GLORY filled
the temple no man could stand near it[16]
[1] Revelation 21:23 - The city
does not need the sun or moon to shine on it, for the
glory of God gives it light, and the Lamb is
its lamp.
1 Timothy 6:16 - Who alone is immortal and who
lives in unapproachable light, whom no one
has seen or can see. To him be honor and might forever. Amen.
[2] Colossians 2:14-15 -
Having canceled the written code, with its
regulations, that was against us and that stood opposed to us; he took it away, nailing it to the cross And having disarmed the powers and authorities, he made a
public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross
[3] Deuteronomy 31:30 - And MOSES
RECITED THE WORDS OF THIS SONG from beginning to end in the hearing of the whole
assembly of Israel: -- Deuteronomy 32:1
- Listen, O heavens, and I will speak; hear,
O earth, the words of my mouth. -- Deuteronomy 32:43 - Rejoice, O nations, with his people, for
he will avenge the blood of his servants; he will take vengeance on his enemies and make
atonement for his land and people
[4] Isaiah 11:9 - Nothing will hurt or destroy in all my holy
mountain, for as the waters fill the sea, SO THE EARTH WILL BE FILLED WITH PEOPLE WHO KNOW THE LORD.
[5] Acts
[6] Exodus 32:15- Moses
turned and went down the mountain with THE TWO TABLETS OF THE TESTIMONY in his hands. They were
inscribed on both sides, front and back.
[7] Exodus 25:40 - Be sure that you make everything according to the PATTERN I have shown you here on
the mountain.
[8] Mark 7:6-7 - These people
honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from
me. They worship me in vain; their teachings are but rules taught by men
[9] Mark 7:15 – What goes into a man does not make him `unclean, but rather,
what comes out
of a man is what makes him `unclean
[10] Mark 7:21-23 - For from
within, out of men's hearts, come evil thoughts, sexual
immorality, theft, murder, adultery, greed, malice, deceit, lewdness, envy,
slander, arrogance and folly. -- Matthew 5:27-28 - But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has
already committed adultery with her in his heart
[11] Isaiah 35:4-6 - Be
strong, do not fear; your God will come, he
will come with vengeance; with divine retribution he
will come to save you. Then will the eyes of
the blind be opened and the ears of the deaf unstopped. Then will the lame leap like a deer, and the mute tongue
shout for joy.
[12] Matthew 11:3-6 - Are you the one who was to come, or should we expect
someone else?" The blind receive sight, the
lame walk, those who have leprosy are cured, the deaf hear, the dead are
raised, and the good news is preached to the poor
[13] Matthew 12:39-41 A wicked and adulterous generation asks for a miraculous sign! But none will be given it except the sign of the
prophet Jonah; so the Son of Man will be three days and three nights in the
heart of the earth
[14] 1 Peter 2:9 - But you are a elect race, a ROYAL
PRIESTHOOD, a
holy nation, a people for God's own possession, that you may show forth
the excellences of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light:
[15] Revelation 19:7-8 - Let
us rejoice and be glad and give him glory! For the wedding of the Lamb has
come, and HIS BRIDE has
made herself ready Fine linen, bright and clean, was given her to wear."
[16] Exodus 40:34-35 - Then
the cloud covered the Tent of Meeting, and THE GLORY OF
THE LORD filled
the tabernacle. MOSES COULD NOT
ENTER the Tent of Meeting because the CLOUD had settled upon it, and the GLORY OF THE LORD filled the
tabernacle.
